HUB4700
The HUB4700 caliber is the successor to the legendary El Primero movement—the first integrated automatic chronograph introduced in 1969 and the first mechanical chronograph to operate at a frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), allowing precision to 1/10 of a second. Blending tradition with innovation, this fully skeletonized movement is now equipped with a silicon regulating organ, delivering cutting-edge performance, exceptional precision, and outstanding reliability.

From pioneering the use of rubber in watchmaking to developing exclusive precious alloys such as scratch-resistant Magic Gold and creating revolutionary composite materials like ceramic and sapphire in unique colors, materials have always been at the heart of Hublot’s philosophy. To bring its "Art of Fusion" to life, the manufacture operates its own metallurgy and materials laboratory in close collaboration with its research and development department, as well as its own foundry.
